Chris was born and raised in Regina, where he attended Canadian Bible College after graduating high school. While there, he met Terra-Lynn, who had grown up in Cochrane and was also attending CBC. They were married in 2001 just after graduating. They moved to Alberta, where Chris served as Sr. Pastor at Mannville Alliance Church for three years, then for 8.5 years as the Associate/Youth pastor at Tofield Alliance. Through this season, they also welcomed four boys to their family. In 2014, they transitioned from pastors to International Workers, leading to time in Costa Rica (language training) and Mexico City. They assisted the Mexican churches in a variety of ways, most notably as pastor of a local church for about a year and a half. In 2022, they returned to Tofield, and eventually, in August of 2024, moved to Assiniboia to serve at Assiniboia Alliance Church. Chris also completed his Master’s of Practical Theology in December of 2024. Two of their boys have graduated and are out of the house, while 2 others are still slaving through high school.

Chris enjoys sports (especially the Roughriders, Blue Jays, and Oilers), reading, and playing games. Terra also enjoys reading, but prefers baking and artistic endeavours over sports. They both enjoy travelling and seeing new places and cultures.
